Three separate orthopedic surgeons insisted that surgery was my only option, and the outlook wasn't promising. Fortunately, my parents knew about chiropractic care!

At nineteen, a sports injury left me with a compression fracture in my spine, and I was overwhelmed with the fear that I'd never live a normal life again. I was dependent on a cane to get to class and relied on Vicodin to manage the pain. Even the surgeons warned me that, even after surgery, I'd never regain full function and would need to settle for a desk job. Thankfully, I decided to consult my father's chiropractic physician.

He reassured me that my body was already healing properly and that surgery was unnecessary. With time and the right treatment, he promised I'd be back to my pre-injury state. Just three months later, I was back at the gym and even running again.

This experience was pivotal in my decision to pursue a career as a chiropractic physician. After recovering from my back injury in less than four months, despite being told I'd suffer for life, my path became clear. I witnessed people truly healing, and the energy in the chiropractic office was unlike anything I'd seen in a hospital. I knew then that chiropractic care was my calling.

Lori has been a dedicated professional in the medical field for over 34 years, following her graduation from Bryman School for Medical Assisting. She began her career working with a General Practitioner for eight years, where she was trained as a Physician Assistant (P.A.). Subsequently, Lori spent six years working with an allergist, further expanding her expertise.

Lori first met Dr. Miller in 1995 as a patient. By 1998, she joined the team of integrative medicine doctors at Orland Park Integrated Health, starting as a Chiropractic Assistant (CA). Over time, Lori advanced to her current role as the administrative assistant for the Orland Park Clinic, where she oversees office operations, manages patient needs, and handles various administrative tasks.

Lori has been married to her husband Mike for 38 years. Together, they have two daughters and are now proud grandparents to a beautiful granddaughter.

Lauren became a member of the Chiro-Med team in 2011, initially working as a chiropractic assistant. She now handles a range of responsibilities in the office, including front desk operations, billing, and collections.

Lauren is highly skilled in insurance benefit verification, managing paperwork to establish medical necessity for treatment, and assisting patients with insurance denials. Her dedication to service excellence shines through as she works to enhance patient health by efficiently scheduling appointments and making care as affordable as possible. Outside of the office, Lauren enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter.

I have over 3 years of experience in the chiropractic field, starting my career as a Chiropractic Assistant while pursuing my studies in Human Biology/Pre-Med. Since 2018, I have been working with Dr. Miller, Dr. Shehab, and the team.

I've had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful patients and continue to connect with new, great individuals every day. It's incredibly rewarding to help patients improve their health and make a significant impact on their future well-being. Working closely with patients at Chiro-Med Health & Wellness Center has inspired me to pursue further education in Medicine and Chiropractic at the University of Illinois-Chicago. My experience here has reinforced my commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles and making a positive difference in patient care.
